I thought I’d post a couple pics of the food that I have been making (thanks KL for the suggestion!). Most of the time I get too excited to eat and forget to take a pic, but here are the ones when I actually remembered. I am usually salivating by this point. I really need to work on patience to take a decent pic. Will try to update food pics more often!
Had to re-simmer it from the night before because the sauce didn’t have time to reduce down into the sticky goodness it’s supposed to be. And yes, between T and I, a rack of ribs can last us 2 days. Definitely tasted better this day (2nd day) than the first day :P
Had a better pic, but my camera didn’t want to focus at all, and I didn’t realize until I saw it on my laptop screen :(
We finally cooked this squash 2 weeks after we bought it… so it was less than fresh (you can see that the skin was yellowing… it was a nice green), but it was still decent.
Crazy how much of a difference gouda cheese makes in an omelette. Doesn’t take over the flavour of the eggs and other ingredients, but you can still taste the cheesy goodness. We had it with whole wheat grilled bread. Yes, grilled bread, not toast, because we do not own a toaster, so we have to grill our bread in a pan to make toast.
Lamb Shoulder Chops before
Marinated for a day with Dijon mustard, dried rosemary, garlic powder, salt & pepper. Missing Worcestershire sauce. Next time!
Lamb Shoulder Chops + Roasted Parsnips and Carrots
Lamb chops were delicious pan fried. Although the shoulder bone popped up while frying due to the meat contraction, which made it awkward to keep frying. Roasted veggies were better the second day (and 3rd, and 4th, and 5th.. I think that huge pan lasted us a week). Also didn’t roast them long enough due to time constraints the first day.
